Realhealth.TV
April 3rd, 2007
I was made aware of this website recently and thought I’d check it out.
Realhealth.TV is a website where people can share their health stories, you can watch a collection of videos based on various health conditions.
The videos are of a high quality and appear to have been professionally created. They invite users to pitch ideas and offer health organizations, film makers and partners the opportunity to upload videos and will also consider producing a video if your pitch is good.
There are some really great informative videos on the site on a range of topics. I really like the range of topics, it’s not just the usual health conditions that you see on many sites these days. You can find information on raising a disabled child by watching mums who are actually doing it. Or watch kids talking about their addictions.
In addition, when you register, you can access the online community and participate in online forums.
One thing I’d like to see included would be videos made by the public. I might be wrong but looking at the site instructions, it appears that the production guidelines are pretty specific. So for many people (including myself), our home videos might not make the cut. I think this is something that should be included as people really do like to share and watch videos made by the average person. Apart from that, I think it’s a great online resource for people so go check it out!
